NS Records
See what NS records are, what is their objective and why every domain needs them so as to function efficiently.
The Name Servers of a domain name reveal the DNS servers that are responsible for its DNS records. The Internet protocol address of the web site (A record), the mail server that manages the e-mails for a domain (MX records), any text record in free form (TXT record), pointing (CNAME record) and so forth are obtained from the DNS servers of the hosting company and for any domain address to be using them and to be directed to their hosting platform, it should have their name servers, or NS records. If you want to open a website, for instance, and you enter the URL, the web browser connects to a DNS server, which keeps the NS records for the domain name and the request is then pointed to the DNS servers of the webhosting provider where the A record of the website is obtained, so that you can look at the content from the correct location. Commonly a domain address has two name servers that start with NS or DNS as a prefix and the difference between the two is only visual.

NS Records in Website Hosting
The avant-garde Hepsia CP, which comes with our website hosting packages, will allow you to deal with the name servers of each and every domain registered through our company with only a few clicks, so even when you have not had a hosting plan or a domain address before, you will not encounter any issues. The Domain Manager tool, which is a part of Hepsia, comes with a very user-friendly interface and it will permit you to edit the NS records of any domain or even a number of domain addresses together. We also give you the chance to set up child name servers dns1.your-domain.com and dns2.your-domain.com for every domain name registered within the account just as easily and all you need for that is a couple of IP addresses - either ours, if you will use the child NS to point the domain address to the account on our cloud platform, or the ones of the third-party provider if you will use the new records to direct the domain to their system. Different from other providers, we don't charge additional for providing this additional DNS management service.
- NS Records in Semi-dedicated Servers
The name servers for each and every domain address that's registered through our company could be changed with no more than a few mouse clicks through the innovative, though easy-to-use Hepsia Control Panel included with all semi-dedicated server plans. It's just as simple to view the current NS records for a specific domain name and to verify if they are the ones that are required for the domain address to be directed to your hosting account. The Domain Manager tool, which is a part of Hepsia, is user-friendly enough to allow you to manage any domain name with ease even if you haven't dealt with such matters before. If you wish, you can also register private name servers ns1.your-domain.com and ns2.your-domain.com and use them not only for the domain name under which they are set up, but also for any other domain name that you would like to host inside the exact same account. This feature is very beneficial when you have customers of your own and you want their websites to use your own name servers in lieu of our default ones. The service is 100 % free. - NS Records in Semi-dedicated Servers
